The Morning We Woke Free
Freedom, love, and the truth that finally set us free.
I woke this morning with more clarity than I’ve had in years —
and more love for my husband than ever before.
For the first time, I feel the truth of freedom:
we are ours, and no one — no monarchy, no money, no manipulation — can take that away.
This love, the one we built through storms, through judgment, through years of walking on eggshells —
it’s finally ours. Completely.
It’s sad that it came at the cost of cutting out the toxicity.
Sad that the road to peace meant letting go of family who couldn’t see us without trying to control us.
But sometimes love only breathes when you clear the air around it.
And now, it breathes.
We are free to love — fully, honestly, without interference.
Free to live our life, our truth, our peace.
They showed us who they were, and in doing so, they gave us the greatest gift of all:
the truth that set us free.
Forever together, finally in peace.
